About AudioNET®
The idea for AudioNET was conceived in 1998 in Sydney Australia by MD Dave Cox. After working at Sky Digital Courier and ARNSat, Dave predicted the Internet would be a far superior platform for commercial dispatch, than either ISDN or satellite.
Over the next four years, Dave developed the basic functionality based on feedback from colleagues in radio stations and production studios.
In 2002, AudioNET was launched as Australia's first internet-based service for dispatching radio commercials. By 2005, all the current dispatch companies had switched to Internet platforms for all radio, TV and print commercials.
In October 2005, AudioNET launched Media Wizard as Australia's first purpose built delivery system for radio advertising Material Instructions and dub orders. Media Wizard is also a world-first: matching MIs and dub orders with the actual radio commercial, to improve accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of delivery.
In 2006, AudioNET partnered with AirCheck Australia to introduce AirCheck Broadcast monitoring into Australia. It is Australia's most accurate and informative service for clients who need data to plan, monitor and analyse radio campaigns.
Throughout 2009 AudioNET's key software and client support staff were active members of committees set up by Commercial Radio Australia's Digital Technical Advisory Committee and were instrumental in drafting the Standards and Procedures adopted for digital radio.
In March 2010 AudioNET again led the way, with Australia's first commercial dispatch for digital radio.
As we did with the Internet in 1998, AudioNET already foresees many exciting possibilities for agencies and advertisers from the Digital radio platform and we're looking forward to developing new services and tools for the new era of radio.
Philosophy
AudioNET exists to bridge the communication and delivery gaps between clients and suppliers of radio commercials, so that commercials get to air faster, easier and more reliably.
Our business philosophy revolves around a few key principles:
- Simplicity: Simplifying systems and work practices without making them simplistic.
- Transparency: In everything we do. All clients get the same level of service. We believe in open communication with all our clients and our staff.
- Service: Under-promise and over deliver.
- Technology: Appropriate use of technology. Let computers do what computers can do, so people can spend their time and effort being creative and helping other people.
- Prosperity: We prosper when our clients prosper. It's good business for us to help our clients grow their businesses, through providing improved services and offering them new revenue streams.
