AudioNET First to Provide Pinata Tools to Clients

Sound studios around Australia are now capable of producing radio ads with pictures.

"As a reward for their loyalty, audio production studios who are regular AudioNET clients have been given our Piñata production tools at no charge," said AudioNET MD Dave Cox.

Commercial Radio Australia set July 1st as the start date for Piñata file format, which will maintain the sound quality and data integrity necessary for multi-media commercials on digital radio stations.

Cox said, "As soon as creative agencies realise that the majority of digital channels are being consumed online - they'll see the value in getting their clients' brands, literally, in front of the listener."

He added that the variety of niche digital channels such as Austereo's Radar Radio and DMG's Koffee also offered advertisers unique opportunities to target listeners more accurately.

"These stations are being programmed for niche audiences - sub-sets of the broader station audiences if you like. Advertisers can use the programming parameters to target their preferred customers much more accurately."
