Station Error Rates Revealing

100 per cent error rate on major radio station

New AirCheck Feature Reveals Major Station Errors

AudioNET's new Aircheck station error rate summary is already revealing major station mistakes, including one Melbourne station with a 100% error rate for an entire campaign.

AudioNET CEO Dave Cox said the new reporting feature can reveal previously hidden sins.

"An average error rate of 5% across a campaign doesn't warrant much attention. But if you can see at a glance that one station had a 100% key number error rate that's compelling information.

Cox said agencies could do the calculations themselves but it's quicker and more accurate to get the auditing software to do it.

"Every minute we save agency staff is more time they have for their clients."

Cox urged advertisers to ensure agencies are actively monitoring not merely getting a campaign post-mortem.

"Unfortunately in the example above the agency only wanted a report after the campaign finished. There was nothing that could be done to help the advertiser at that point.

"If the agency had been actively monitoring the error would have been caught and corrected.

"Particularly at this time of the year, there's no point finding out in the New Year that your Christmas ads didn't get the listeners they were supposed to.

"Actively monitoring campaigns means you'll find out while your ads are still on air and your agency can get it fixed straight away."
